The Backyard Project

Not suitable for all ages.

We are building a patio. And  pergola. And possibly a shed. The Royal We, that is, because Gil is doing all the work himself. Keep checking in for progress reports, odds from our bookie, and photos.

Who needs gutter professionals? We've got it covered.

Popcicles go with summer like gravel goes with rebar.

Our Bookie Says:

4/15/03: Gil will be so sore by Day 3 that he will cave into pressure to hire someone to help with the slugwork.

5/29/03: We were way off on that last prediction; this project appears capable of going on for many weeks yet. Gil is leaner and meaner than ever. He may never give out, not even when Mindy has moved in with friends to take advantage of THEIR completed, usable patio.

Maybe we shouldn't have let the kids watch "The Blair Witch Trials."

Got concrete, got pancakes, we're ready to pour.

Success! Concrete has dried and Dylan is above ground.

In case you aren't bored stiff yet by our banal life and must see more, please go to our photo albums on Snapfish!

Really, who wouldn't want to come visit? Pick your way to a lounger and put your feet up.

With luck, you could soon be passed out here after dinner al fresco.
